Our 8th Annual Santa Gertrudis Show & Sale was held on Saturday 7th April, with a yarding of 615 quality Santa and Santa infused cattle offered. Feeder steers sold to a dearer market, as did weaner steers which reached values high above vendor’s expectations. Females were in demand, selling to a keen panel of buyers.

Lindsay Investments, Logan Reserve sold Santa steers 18 months for $1,295. The Beutel Family, Warrillee Santa Gertrudis, Bunburra sold Santa steers 15 months for $1,335. 18 month old Santa steers from Singh Enterprises, Beaudesert sold for $1,300. Cunningham Pastoral, Dugandan sold Santa steers 14 months for $1,110. Trevor and Sue Whitehall, Mt Berryman sold Santa weaner steers for $1,050 and $1,020. - Jeff Beutel of Warrillee Santa Gertrudis was awarded first place in the Export Steer class by judge Paddy Brosnan.
- Howard Beutel of Warrillee Santas received first prize for Pen of Females Suitable for Breeders and second prize for Feeder Heifers.
- Rob Hall accepted first prize for Trade Steers and second prize for Export Steers the award on behalf of Singh Enterprises.
- Chris Harvey of Cunningham Pastoral won first prize for his Feeder Heifers and second prize for his Trade Steers.
- Peter Wilson collected second prize for Breeders and second prize for Weaner Heifers on behalf of Stacey Wilson.
- Trevor Whitehall was awarded first place for Weaner Steers and first place for Weaner Heifers, with the Weaner Steers going on to win Champion Pen of the Show.
