Beaudesert Euro Show & Sale / Store Sale 20th March 2021

A top quality line-up came to hand in a rain affected yarding for our 16th Annual Beaudesert Euro Show and Store Sale.  All descriptions sold to a dearer market.  Quality lines of heifers sold exceptionally well, with a pen of Speckle Park weaner heifers reaching $1,950.  Weaner steers were also in demand.
Doug and Zoe O’Neill, Mt Oweenee Station sold a line of 84 Charbray and Droughtmaster steers 15 months topping at $1,810 to average $1,732.  Palen Creek Correctional Centre sold Charbray weaner steers for $1,560.  Charolais x weaner steers account Marten and Michelle Platell, Josephville sold for $1,500.  The Kleinschmidt Family, Maudsland sold Santa x weaner steers for $1,490.  Charbray steers 14 months from Carl Mills, Gilston sold for $1,480.  Rhys Bodey, Roadvale sold Euro x weaner steers for $1,010.  Paradise Creek Pastoral Company, Townson sold Speckle Park heifers 20 months for $2,300 and Speckle Park weaner heifers for $1,950.  The Kleinschmidt Family sold Santa x weaner heifers for $1,300.  Palen Creek Correctional Centre sold Charbray weaner heifers for $1,210.  Carl Mills sold Charbray cows for $1,450.  Wundaburra Pastoral Company, Mt Archer sold a Brahckle bull for $3000.

Two pens of Charbray steers 15 months account the O’Neill Family, Mt Oweenee sold for $1,810.
Dick Buckham, Tarome collected first and second prize for Pen of Steers Suitable for Future Export on behalf of the O’Neill Family. The awards were presented by sponsor Tamara Barnes of Williams Transport.
Geoff Walker of Palen Creek Correctional Centre was presented with first and second prize for weaner steers, as well as first in the weaner heifers and second in the breeder heifers. Palen Creek’s weaner steers also won the Champion Pen of the Show.
Denis Peters of Paradise Creek Pastoral Co, Townson, who won first in the breeder class and second for his weaner heifers.
